Job Title: Senior / Principal FPGA Engineer Duration: 6 Month (Contract) Location: Bristol Rate: £70 (Inside IR35) About the role We are looking for an experienced Senior / Principal FPGA Firmware Engineer to support the design, development, and verification of firmware for complex, safety-critical systems within a regulated engineering environment. You will work closely with systems, hardware, and software teams to deliver robust FPGA-based solutions for advanced electronic systems. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop FPGA firmware using VHDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog desirable). * Verify and debug firmware designs at module, hardware, and system level. * Translate system and hardware requirements into detailed firmware requirements. * Support integration, validation, and troubleshooting of FPGA designs. * Work with FPGA toolchains across Xilinx, Intel (Altera), and Microsemi devices. * Produce clear technical documentation and progress reports.
