Contract Electronics Engineer
Location: Oxford (On-site)
Contract Type: 6 Month Contract
Pay: ÂŁ50 per hour (Outside IR35)
About the Role
We are looking for a Contract Electronics Engineer to support the bring-up and validation of microcontroller-based mixed-signal PCBs. This role is focused on handsâon lab work, supporting earlyâstage hardware to enable functional testing and development.
What You\âll Do
Carry out firstâtime powerâup of microcontrollerâbased PCBs
Verify voltage rails and power delivery to onâboard devices
Diagnose faults and perform boardâlevel modifications to enable testing
Connect and use debuggers to check microcontroller operation
Write basic test programs in C and/or Python to validate board functionality
Support debugging and bringâup activities alongside firmware and hardware teams
What We\âre Looking For
Strong handsâon experience with MCUâbased PCB bringâup
Confident with faultâfinding and boardâlevel rework
Experience using debuggers on microcontrollers
Ability to write test code in C and/or Python
Experience with STM32 devices and toolchains is highly desirable
Comfortable working independently in a lab environment
