We are looking for an experienced Electronics Test Engineer to support ongoing projects involving marine electronic systems. This role requires onsite presence for the majority of the working week and offers the opportunity to contribute to high-integrity, defence-related engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out practical electrical and electronic testing, along with providing support to manufacturing activities.
- Analyse, interpret, and work confidently from circuit schematics and PCB layout information.
- Inspect and evaluate units returned from operational use, documenting findings clearly.
- Execute test activities strictly in line with established procedures and technical documentation.
- Create, refine, and understand detailed test specifications as required.
- Perform autonomous investigative testing to diagnose issues or validate performance.
- Adhere to established quality and control processes to ensure all products meet required standards.
- Produce accurate records, ensuring complete traceability of components, tools, and test outcomes.
- Log and escalate any non-conformances using the appropriate reporting systems.
- Keep the workspace organised, clean, and compliant with FOD prevention measures.
- Work safely at all times, following all relevant health and safety guidelines and practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, HND, or HNC in electrical or electronic engineering, or a closely related field.
- Candidates with ONC/OND-level qualifications will be considered where strong, hands-on experience can be demonstrated.
- Experience within marine, defence, aerospace, or other high-reliability engineering environments is highly advantageous.
