We are recruiting for a global software business that develops real-time data platforms for the energy industry. The company builds complex, data-intensive products that collect, process, manage and visualise operational information from live environments.
You will be working on reliable, scalable backend software involving APIs, messaging, concurrent processing and real-time data. You will join a globally distributed development function, working within a small Agile team of around four to five developers. The role reports to a UK-based Development Manager and offers a mix of new product development and improvements to established software platforms.
The role
- Developing and maintaining backend applications using C# and .NET
- Designing and supporting APIs and integration services
- Working with SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Building event-driven and message-based systems
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Troubleshooting production issues
- Improving system reliability, performance and scalability
- Working closely with developers, testers, product managers and operations teams
- Contributing to Agile delivery and DevOps processes
