I'm working with a well-established UK software company looking for an Android Developer to join its engineering team on a hybrid basis 2-3 days in office per week. The business develops bespoke operational management platforms for regulated, security-conscious environments. Their systems are used daily within structured operational settings where reliability, usability and performance are critical. This is a long-term product role focused on ownership and evolution, not short-term agency or app-store contract work.
The Role
You will take ownership of a Java-based Native Android application that runs on secure, enterprise-grade devices. The platform is already deployed and actively used, with a clear roadmap of enhancements and feature expansion. Approximately 80 percent of the role will focus on Android development, with the opportunity to contribute to technical direction and architectural decisions as the product evolves. You will work closely with a backend engineering team and be involved across the full development lifecycle including feature design, testing and continuous improvement.
