Avanti Recruitment is working with a Precision Engineering business based near Oxford who are hiring for a Quality Engineer to join the team.
The Role
- Interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Supporting manufacturing with day-to-day quality issues
- Managing non-conformances and corrective actions
- Root cause analysis and problem solving
- Supporting inspection and measurement activities
- Producing and reviewing quality and inspection documentation
- Working closely with production and engineering teams
- Supporting customer and supplier quality requirements
- Contributing to quality systems and continuous improvement
- Supporting audits and quality control activities
What We're Looking For
- Quality Engineering experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GD&T
- Confidence interpreting complex engineering drawings
- Practical, hands‑on manufacturing quality experience
- Experience dealing with NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Experience within precision engineering, aerospace, defence, nuclear or another complex engineering environment
- A stable career history and an interest in a long-term permanent position
- Experience with CMMs, PC-DMIS, ISO standards or quality auditing would be beneficial.
Package
- Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
- Holiday: 23 days plus bank holidays
- Pension: 4% matched following probation
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm
- This is a fully onsite position
