Avanti Meadows Primary School is seeking a dedicated ClassTeacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and supportingpositive outcomes for every pupil. You will create an inclusive, purposeful andsupportive learning environment, using effective teaching, assessment andpastoral practice to help pupils make progress and develop as confident,independent learners.
Building positive relationships based on respect, kindnessand mutual understanding will be central to the role, alongside promoting highexpectations and a love of learning. You will work collaboratively withcolleagues, pupils and families and contribute to the wider life of the school,in keeping with the values and ethos of the Avanti Schools Trust.
The role will provide opportunities to work as part of asupportive team, share effective practice and contribute to the ongoingdevelopment of teaching and learning across the school.

What will you do?
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching that meets the needs ofall pupils, builds on prior learning and enables every child to achieve theirfull potential.
- Monitor, assess and evaluate pupils’ progress and attainment, usingassessment and feedback effectively to inform teaching, set challenging targetsand support continued progress.
- Create a safe, purposeful and respectful learning environment bypromoting positive behaviour, high expectations, independence and pupils’wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents/carers,external agencies and the wider Avanti Schools Trust to support pupils’learning, development and wellbeing and contribute to the wider life of theschool.
Reflect on and developprofessional practice through collaboration, training, performance managementand engagement with school policies, the Teacher Standards and statutory responsibilities.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified tobachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or allied subject
- QTS qualified
- Able to self-start, work independently and collaboratively as part of ateam, whether led or leading
- Clear vision and understanding of how to implement and sustain ahigh-qualityteaching and learning
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
