Salary:Grade 3, £28,403 - £29,263 per annum, pro rata. (Approximately £19,686 - £20,282 per annum (0.69309 FTE)

About us and the role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Coach to join Avanti House Primary and play an important role in helping children learn, grow and believe in their own potential.

You will work closely with teachers and colleagues to provide engaging and inclusive learning support across the classroom, in small groups and on an individual basis, adapting your approach to help each child succeed. By valuing every child as a unique individual, our approach is rooted in educational excellence, character development and spiritual insight, supporting children to flourish academically, socially and personally.

What will you do?

  • Provide flexible individual, small-group and whole-class learning support, helping children to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, understanding their individual strengths, needs and learning styles while promoting inclusion, confidence and independence.
  • Support children with SEND and those learning English as an additional language, implementing agreed strategies and adapting learning approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, colleagues, families and specialist professionals to share information, support pupil progress and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding, while actively engaging in professional development and contributing to a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

What are we looking for?

  • Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience of general administrative work e.g. photocopying, laminating and the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with teachers to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on children’s progress
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
