Class Teacher in Bristol

Beyond the classroom, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, engaging in professional development and sharing effective strategies with others. At every stage, you will play a key role in promoting the school’s ethos, safeguarding pupils and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive and high‑performing school community.

The school is housed in a beautiful campus, that was previously an all‑through school, and before that part of Bristol University, which means it has many facilities that primary schools don’t, like a full‑size auditorium and sports hall. What will you do?

• Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behaviour, and promote student well‑being.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.

• QTS Qualified
• Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
• Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
• Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
