An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior leadership team at Avanti Fields School as Secondary Assistant Principal. In this role, you will help shape the strategic vision of the school, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and empower colleagues to achieve the very best outcomes for every pupil. You will contribute to driving whole-school improvement, ensuring that systems, practice and expectations consistently reflect excellence.

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and the first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding. What will you do?

  • Provide strategic leadership and management across the school, supporting the Principal in shaping vision, setting high expectations, and driving school improvement.
  • Lead and manage teaching, learning, and pastoral systems for key groups of students, promoting inclusivity and achievement for all.
  • Line-manage designated staff teams, develop professional practice, and disseminate effective teaching strategies to drive excellence across the school.
  • Oversee key operational areas including curriculum coordination, budget management, policy development, and performance monitoring to support the School Improvement Plan.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality of opportunity, and strong partnerships with pupils, parents, staff, governors and the wider community, ensuring a safe, respectful and inspiring school environment.

  • QTS Qualified
