The Role: Financial Controller
We're looking for a qualified accountant to join our Finance team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with around 2 years' post-qualified experience who wants to take ownership of a key trading entity while developing commercial, treasury and business partnering expertise.
You'll play a central role in financial reporting, cash flow management and strategic decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Own the financial control of Avanti's primary trading entity.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reporting and detailed financial analysis.
- Manage month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
- Own the Group cash flow forecast and support liquidity planning.
- Provide commercial insight to improve financial performance and support decision-making.
- Business partner with senior leaders across the organisation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning.
- Drive finance process improvements and systems development initiatives.
- Contribute to wider Finance projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Around of 2 years' post-qualified experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience within telecoms, technology or other fast-paced industries.
- Exposure to private equity-backed businesses.
- Experience using Net Suite.
- Previous involvement in statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
- Experience mentoring and supporting more junior finance team members, or a natural ability to help develop others would be advantageous
