As an Activities Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a varied programme of activities that enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being. You will work closely with residents, staff, families, and community partners to ensure engaging, person‑centred activities that promote independence and inclusion.

Resident Wellbeing & Activities

  • Plan and lead diverse activities tailored to individual resident needs, aligned with our Philosophy of Care.
  • Organise social events, celebrations, and community partnerships to enhance residents' daily lives.
  • Encourage residents to engage with their environment, maintain relationships, and participate in meaningful experiences.

Communication & Promotion

  • Keep residents' care plans updated with activity preferences and changes.
  • Promote activities through newsletters, noticeboards, and social media while ensuring confidentiality and consent.
  • Monitor and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe environment, ensuring all activities follow health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Uphold residents' dignity, privacy, and autonomy in all interactions.
  • Respect professional boundaries with residents, families, and colleagues.

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and support the Activities team, fostering creativity and high performance.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff and volunteers to deliver engaging person‑centred activities.
  • Manage the activities budget efficiently to maximise resources.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow all Avante Care & Support policies and procedures, including equality and mandatory training requirements.
  • Be flexible in adapting to changing needs, undertaking reasonable additional tasks as required.
