The Role
We are looking for a Trainee Architectural Technician to join our West Midlands head office in Coleshill, Birmingham. The role involves supporting the design and engineering of new homes, providing technical support from the initial construction phase through to completion and handover.
Key Duties and Requirements
- Support the preparation of key technical information for the Regional land team with land bids.
- Provide general support to the wider regional teams including Commercial, Sales and Construction on all technical matters.
- Assist in the production of key status reports and update the Technical Director on KPIs relating to engineering and design functions.
- Gather information from external suppliers and agencies.
- Prepare relevant legal documentation for each development or phase of development.
- Support the team with section agreements, ensuring they are approved and submitted in a timely manner.
- Manage documents.
- Participate in key team meetings on site development, under the guidance of the regional Technical team.
- Assist the Technical/Planning teams in supporting regional Planning applications.
- Ensure that all information relating to the Technical team is of high quality to minimise risk and facilitate efficient site starts.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English grade 4 or above (Grade C) or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and undertake an agreed qualification alongside responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently using your own initiative.
