Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our team based at our West Yorkshire head office in Wakefield.
The Role

Key Duties And Requirements
You will also be responsible for but not limited to;
- Collating and processing client choices forms and orders for each plot sale.
- Assisting in the processing of payments for both the Commercial and
- Customer Service invoices for subcontractor payments.
- Assisting in the preparation of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.
- Utilising COINS to create orders and process payments for subcontractors in support of the Quantity Surveyors.
- Updating payment records, preparing and issuing of pay less notices and contra charges.
- Logging and tracking pay less notices and contra charges.
- Supporting the effective administration of the Commercial team as per the policies and processes.
- Assisting in sending out tenders and analysing those once returned.
- Assisting in requesting and receiving health and safety information and collating to send for approvals.
- Adhering to the company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensuring contractors comply with Group deals and current specifications including notifying contractors of any changes to specifications.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience within a similar role, possessing strong administration skills. Experience of working for a housebuilder or construction company would be advantageous yet not essential.
A self-sufficient, experienced administrator with the ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication, whilst also working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Strong organisation skills along with the ability to prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail are also an essential part of this role.
You Will Also Possess
- Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience of the COINS ERP system is desirable, yet not essential as full training will be provided.
- The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements.
