ABOUT AVANT ARTE

Avant Arte wants to make art radically more accessible for a new generation. The company began as a cult blog of contemporary artists and grew organically into the world’s largest and most engaged online art community, with more than 2 million of their followers under the age of 35. The company collaborates with iconic contemporary artists like Jenny Holzer, Cai Guo-Qiang, Claire Tabouret, Tschabalala Self and Piet Parra, making their work more accessible to younger collectors through sculpture editions, print editions and unique works on paper of exceptional quality. The company’s vision is to inspire a generation of millions of young people who love art like they love music and who collect works like they build their wardrobe.

WHAT WE NEED

We're looking for a London-based pitch writer who can craft slide decks of brilliant, business-winning pitches for new collaborations. You'll take a pitch brief and turn it into a slide deck that's tailored to the opportunity and true to Avant Arte's tone and approach. You need to be an excellent writer and slide designer with a real instinct for treating every pitch as a chance to tell a story, not just fill in a template. You'll work closely with our Artist and Creative Production teams, juggling several proposals at once in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines. We're after someone self-motivated who's comfortable working independently, takes real ownership of their work, and communicates well with the team. You'll need to prioritise well under pressure, handle tight (and sometimes conflicting) deadlines, and bring a sharp eye for detail.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch writing & deck building
  • Receive pitch brief from team and distill into a bespoke and exciting proposal
  • Condense the strategic imperative of each pitch into a clear and compelling proposition
  • Own the copywriting and slide design, using templates as relevant to deliver a fully developed, well-designed proposal
  • Determine appropriate tone of voice for audience receiving and adhere to Avant Arte style
  • Proofread, edit and implement feedback and iterations from internal & external stakeholders through to delivery of final version and any subsequent iterations
  • Build and maintain templates, content, case studies, etc to ease pitch creation process
  • Collate archive of content, images, and other assets onto proposals libraries
  • Act as final quality control on outgoing proposals, reviewing for accuracy and consistency
  • Stakeholder & time management
  • Confidently engage with artist managers, creative team and individual contributors to shape pitch narrative and align on messaging
  • Manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight and often overlapping deadlines, prioritising by commercial value and urgency

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • An experienced proposals writer with the ability to manage multiple pitches concurrently to a high standard.
  • Experience in proposals or copywriting whether in the art industry or adjacent sectors such as advertising, marketing, or agencies where the craft of persuasive, deadline-driven writing and commercial storytelling is directly transferable
  • Proficiency in Google Slides to be able to create and design persuasive proposals
  • Eye for detail with a passion for delivering exceptionally high standards in everything you do and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Proactive and adaptable with the ability to learn quickly and meet on-the-spot requirements that can arise unexpectedly.
  • Accountability and ownership with the ability to stay a step ahead and anticipate any issues / concerns, address them with the team and take ownership in resolving them
  • Highly organised and able to manage concurrent briefs and deliverables
  • You’ll likely have 3+ years of experience working in a similar role.

The work will be hybrid with some in-office days at our London Office. Working hours are flexible, with an estimated commitment of up to 15 hours per week. These hours can be worked across two days or spread throughout the week, depending on what works best for you and the team.
