Our client, a leading global investment bank is scaling its Quantitative Investment Strategies trading platform. The opportunity is to significantly accelerate platform delivery. Multiple teams are working across the platform simultaneously: quant developers, platform engineers, infrastructure, IT and business, and the goal is to make that collaboration more efficient, more coherent and faster. The business has strong momentum and is looking for the right person to connect the dots between these teams and turn that momentum into consistent, demonstrable delivery. This role exists to do exactly that. This position is open in London, 3 days on-site/week, long-term commitment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own delivery coordination across interdependent teams (quant developers, platform engineers, infrastructure, IT and business stakeholders) with no direct line authority.
  • Define and enforce what 'done' actually means with each engineering team before anything is called delivered.
  • Sort out the test environments ensuring nothing is pushed forward without proper end-to-end validation.
  • Track every in-flight workstream across the QIS platform scope.
  • Demonstrate working software on a week-to-week basis to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify cross-team dependencies early and drive resolution before they become programme blockers.
  • Translate technical constraints and delivery risks into clear, honest narratives for front-office sponsors including heads of QIS trading, QIS structuring and the head of Equities.

Profile:

  • A hands-on implementation or engineering background.
  • Proven delivery of trading platforms or complex technical software programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and push delivery across multiple teams without line authority.
  • Real agile experience.
  • Exposure to Python-heavy environments, distributed systems, KDB.
