Purpose of the Role β Electrician
The role holder will be expected to climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces, lift and move heavy objects, tools, and materials safely and undertake other tasks as necessary for the completion of the work with a high regard to health and safety to themselves and others.
Key Responsibilities β Electrician:
Inspect, maintain, install, and repair electrical systems in Council properties.
Work in occupied and unoccupied properties across the Borough.
Diagnose and fix electrical faults; complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR).
Ensure compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations & health & safety standards.
Participate in on-call rota for emergency repairs.
Maintain Council vehicle and equipment safely.
Essential Experience & Knowledge β Electrician:
City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
18th Edition certification & City & Guilds 2391-52 inspection/testing.
Experience in domestic and commercial electrical work.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Strong customer service skills & commitment to Equality & Diversity.
Experience in steel trunking and conduit installations.
Report writing skills and ability to work independently.
