The Role
As a BIW Lead-Sealing Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of all static sealing components for a vehicle's body structure, from initial concept through to production. This role ensures that all sealing systems meet the company's rigorous quality, cost, and attribute targets for water management, noise reduction (NVH), durability, and manufacturability.
Your responsibilities:
- The role has cross-functional interfaces in Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Teams, work in Agile team structure/Scrum Masters/Product Owners, whilst leading the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programs.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Experience of design and development of automotive BIW, Paint and Static sealing systems.
- Engineering knowledge of Body Structures, Paint, Sealing, Water Leaks, BiW design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Strong knowledge of CAD visualizations tools.
