The Role

The SAP QM Lead role for the design, implementation, and support of SAP ECC & S4/H Quality Management solutions with a strong focus on integration into Laboratory Execution Systems (LES), including LabWare LIMS.

This role enables compliant, efficient, and fully integrated quality and laboratory processes across manufacturing and quality operations in regulated environments.

The role acts as the functional authority for SAP QM in S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices, digital core principles, and regulatory expectations while delivering seamless end-to-end quality data flows between SAP and external lab systems.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Lead SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM) as Functional Consultant to ensure alignment with industry’s best practices and business requirements.
• 2. Leverage S/4HANA embedded QM capabilities and Fiori apps to optimize user experience and process efficiency.
• 3. Ability to create blueprint documents, process flow documents required, Functional Specification and training documents.
• 4. Support QM Integration with MM, PPPI and EWM in an S/4HANA landscape.
• 5. Understand the Business process of Pharma and Life science.
• 6. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• 7. Ability to clearly write Functional Specification documents with reference to Business User requirement Specification.
• 8. Lead the QM Functional role as the way is design, configuration, integrating cross modules alignment and suggesting standard SAP S4H solution.
• 9. Deep knowledge in LES(Labware) integration with SAP like, Field structure, Middlewares (CPI, PI/PO) usage, Field mapping and high level of LES system usage with respect to QM Business needs.
• 10. Familiarity with SAP Fiori QM applications and UX enablement.
• 11. Good knowledge in error handling and reprocess design of Inbound and Outbound message.
• 12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 13. Support Support use of standard APIs, IDocs, and Fiori-based workflows where applicable.
• 14. Support system validation activities in S/4HANA landscapes, including Functional and integration specifications, Test scenarios and execution (IQ/OQ/PQ) and Change management and impact analysis.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• 1. Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP QM implementations and rollouts, preferably in Process Industries.
• 2. Strong expertise in SAP QM configuration and Master data for Pharma & Life science platform.
• 3. In-depth knowledge of SAP batch management functionalities, Sample management, Certificate of Analysis, Inspection lots and Inspection plan.
• 4. Experience in integrating SAP QM with cross modules.
• 5. Hands-on experience in interface development and integration projects, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
• 6. Knowledge in S4 HANA Fiori application about QM Business process.
• 7. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• 1. Variant Configuration experience to support complex product modeling and customization.
• 2. Integration of SAP QM with LES and other connected systems
• 3. Basic understanding of Pharma life science processes, including Audit compliance.
• 4. Prior involvement in global delivery models, with experience collaborating across IST and European time zones.
• 5. Ability to conduct training and workshops for business users and stakeholders.
• 6. Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards in life sciences or similar regulated industries.
• 7. Experience in playing a major role in implementation projects
• 8. Support global template design, site rollouts, and S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
• 9. Support internal and external audits related to quality systems and laboratory integrations.
• 10. Experience with SAP CPI and event-based integrations.
• 11. Hands-on in Certificate of Analysis profile and form.
• 12. Able to write the test script in ALM portal as per Business scenario and complexity rating.
