This role sits within Avanade's Modern Workplace Engineering Practice, which focuses on modernizing and extending the workplace technology ecosystem. We help our clients protect against evolving threats, empower new ways of working, and unlock greater business value through the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with account teams to shape, sell, and coordinate the delivery of strategic workplace transformation programs.
- Develop pragmatic and sustainable workplace roadmaps that help clients maximize the value of their Microsoft investments.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of new workplace propositions, incorporating trends such as AI, digital employee experience, and hybrid work enablement.
- Actively share expertise within Avanade, mentoring colleagues and contributing to our global community of modern workplace professionals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience architecting and supporting the sales and delivery of modern workplace solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Strong background in Microsoft 365 adoption, governance, and security — including content services, collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, Viva), and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated track record leading enterprise-scale digital workplace transformations ($1M+ programs), with measurable outcomes in productivity, security, and user experience.
- Practical experience leveraging AI-driven workplace tools.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles, including identity, conditional access, device security, data loss prevention, and threat protection.
- Skilled in enterprise information architecture, content migration, workflow automation, and process optimization using Power Automate and third-party tools.
- Ability to work seamlessly across global delivery models (onshore, nearshore, offshore) and collaborate within complex matrix organizations.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) - Identity, Conditional Access, Hybrid Join, MFA.
- Zero Trust security principles - Data loss prevention, cloud app security, device compliance.
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager - Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM), Co-management workloads.
- Windows Autopilot - provisioning and lifecycle automation.
- Windows as a Service - servicing, updates, patch automation.
- Endpoint hardening and compliance - Intune policies, GPO, policy baselines, health checks.
- Collaboration & Content Services - Microsoft 365 - Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Viva, OneDrive.
- Content services - Information architecture, content migration, knowledge management.
- Security and governance - Records management, compliance, insider risk.
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) - architecture, deployment, FSLogix, Azure Files.
- Windows 365 - Cloud PC design and integration.
- Hybrid scenarios - Remote access, automation, monitoring.
- Active Directory - DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, hybrid identity.
