How to prepare for a job interview at Avanade

Know Your Tech Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of Azure services, especially IaaS and PaaS. Be ready to discuss how you've used Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Bicep in your projects. The more specific examples you can provide, the better!

Show Off Your CI/CD Skills

Familiarise yourself with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps and Git. Be prepared to explain how you've built or maintained these pipelines in the past, and any challenges you faced during deployments. This will show your practical experience and problem-solving skills.

Communicate Clearly

Practice explaining technical concepts in simple terms. You might be asked to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders, so being able to break things down will set you apart. Think about how you would explain Azure networking features or troubleshooting steps to someone without a tech background.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions that put you in real-world scenarios, like troubleshooting connectivity issues or assisting with Azure migrations. Think through your past experiences and how you approached similar situations. This will demonstrate your hands-on experience and customer-focused mindset.
