Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Reward Consultant to join our global Total Reward & Performance team in Edinburgh.
In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders such as Finance, Payroll, Sales Operations and People Teams to implement Total Reward best practice on an international scale.
You will support Avaloq’s global reward and performance processes through high-quality analysis, reporting and operational reward support.
This includes providing insight for the annual pay review and performance cycle, supporting market benchmarking and pay equity activities, and helping maintain fair, consistent, data-led reward frameworks aligned to business needs.
- Run analysis to support the annual pay review and annual performance cycle, including data preparation, validation, modelling and reporting.
- Complete market benchmarking activities, including job matching, survey data review, market positioning analysis and preparation of benchmarking outputs.
- Contribute to pay equity activities, including equal pay analysis, gender pay gap reporting and related data checks, ensuring outputs are accurate and well documented.
- Manage sales incentive and commission activities from a reward perspective, including plan documentation, eligibility, data preparation and payment validation.
- Maintaining reward data, tools, templates and process documentation to ensure efficient, repeatable and compliant reward operations.
- Supporting ad hoc queries and provide first-line support for standard reward queries escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a Total Reward team with a good understanding of market benchmarking, pay review processes, fixed and variable pay structures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with large and complex data sets.
Ability to translate reward data into clear insights, concise summaries and practical recommendations.
- Understanding of pay transparency developments, gender pay gap reporting and wider reward governance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, explain technical concepts clearly to non-specialists and bridge knowledge or language gaps.
- A forward-thinking approach to work, self-motivated to learn and develop, a natural curiosity and collaborative nature.
