Job Description

In our Integration Domain, we provide banks a sustainable path in combining Avaloq and ecosystem products value propositions.

You will be surrounded by smart, highly capable people who are passionate to build the next generation of innovative applications to address the upcoming challenges of integrating our Avaloq Core Banking systems with different third parties being able to cope with all the new technologies.

In the Messaging team, we evolve and maintain frameworks that allow developers to build APIs and microservices, as well as build standard adapters to bridge Avaloq\’s core banking platform to third-party providers.

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team to help us in the development and maintenance of our integration products.

Your key tasks

• Collaborate effectively within an agile development team to execute projects in alignment with the product roadmap.
• Design and implement sophisticated Back-End Integration products and services that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Enhance code quality through rigorous Unit and Integration testing, ensuring robust and reliable software solutions.
• Strictly adhere to and actively promote industry best coding practices within the team, maintaining the integrity of our codebase.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Assume full ownership and responsibility for your designated area of expertise, demonstrating leadership and accountability in all aspects of your work.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of professional experience in back-end development, with demonstrable expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, OpenShift, API development. As well as testing frameworks e.g. JUnit and Mockito
• Strong evidencable experience of constructing and configuring products utilizing diverse integration patterns, preferably within the financial sector
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Git, Gradle, and Jenkins CI toolchains for development purposes

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Bachelor\’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
• Knowledge / experience in Liquibase, Spring JPA, Spring Security, JMS and Kafka
• Knowledge of PL/SQL / Avaloq Scripting
• Experience developing or deploying applications to, or foundational knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
