Job Description

Product Strategy & Offering's mission is to lead the early phases of the product value chain. As a team, we provide market research insights to articulate the value and pricing of our product offering. We oversee budgets, drive investment decisions, and prioritize the entire product portfolio in the best interest of Avaloq and its broad client community. We translate company strategy into product evolution and innovation by orchestrating and integrating with our partners' ecosystem.

The team engages with numerous stakeholders and plays a central role in advocating for and conveying clear messages around our products throughout the organization and to external parties, with marketing providing support. We value curiosity, adaptability, collaboration, and dedication.

Your key tasks

  • Own the R&D portfolio roadmap, and the related budget. Ensure data completeness including product timelines, sales pipeline, strategy alignment.
  • Product/features decisions: prioritize based on revenue impact, client community interest and company strategy; balance short-term revenue with long-term product health.
  • Define and track revenue KPIs. Take action to address revenue shortcomings and promote growth areas for the R&D portfolio.
  • Prepare documentation for the communication to Senior Management, Group Executive Board and externally to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business and economics or information technology or engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in software financial industry and knowledge of banking products.
  • Skilled in negotiation and influence, able to push back on requests that are not scalable, align teams around value and pricing, and facilitate decisions across functions without direct authority.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented; adept at engaging with multiple stakeholders and managing a broad product portfolio.
  • Demonstrates strong financial expertise and is proficient in business case development, investments and budgeting processes.
  • Capable of making complex, high-impact trade-offs to optimize portfolio value and establish effective priorities.
  • Client-focused with outstanding communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in English. German and Italian are an advantage.
  • It would be a real bonus if you have Master's degree in business and economics or information technology or engineering.
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Avaloq products knowledge.
