Spirehouse are currently supporting a UK wide charity with one of their sites in Leicester for a Refugee Officer.

My client in Leicester is seeking a part-time Refugee Officer to provide practical, emotional and personal development support to women and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.

Due to the nature of the role, this post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan the programme for women and their children living in the refuges.
  • Keep clear, accurate records and maintain confidential files on women and their children in the refuge.
  • Ensure monitoring is up to date, including the submission of case studies, supporting the management team with service requirements.
  • Liaise with colleagues in community-based services to ensure needs are met and help identify service gaps.
  • In consultation with the management team, liaise with outside agencies, organisations and individuals.
  • Support clients across dual locations, and dispersed accommodation as required.

Requirements:
  • Full UK driver’s licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Previous experience in supporting those vulnerable from any settings.
