Avalon is currently supporting a client of ours within Manchester for the recruitment of a Leasehold Officer.

The Opportunity

My client in Manchester is seeking a Leasehold Officer to come on board for an initial 6-week interim post. The postholder shall need to be knowledgeable in Lettings, Block Management, Voids, and Tenancy Management.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for management of identified leasehold and private rented schemes and properties, their environment and customers.
  • Lead on setting and managing the service charge budgets, responsible for managing repairs and insurance claims, manage all expenditure and lead on Section 20 consultations and help manage the sinking funds.
  • Manage voids and their budget: management of lettings agents (for marketing, processing applications and dealing with sign-ups including deposits) and managing void works.
  • Manage tenancies, deal with repairs and manage budget and conducting scheme and termination inspections.
  • Conduct monthly scheme inspections at leasehold schemes including the health and safety checks.
  • Take on new services and schemes as they are developed.
  • Conduct bi-annual property inspections in Market Rent homes.
  • Manage the accuracy of finalised accounts to leaseholders, dealing with Right to Inspect requests etc.

  • Interviews to commence ASAP.
  • 6 week contract.
  • £19.00 - £22.70 per hour via umbrella.
  • Full-time working pattern – 35 hours.

  • Block Management experience.
  • Full UK drivers licence with access to a vehicle.
