Avalon Housing are working in partnership with a local authority in their acquisition of a new ASB Officer for the Council. We are looking for an ASB Officer who will work in a community of about 5,000 units on a full-time basis. It’s a hybrid post, working 1-2 days from home, with a caseload in the region of 25-30.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person in the council for all ASB issues, taking on a caseload and dealing with everything from neighbour disputes to serious breaches such as harassment, violence, and drug-related activity.
- Prepare witness statements, gather evidence, and work with legal teams to progress cases through court.
- Support victims and witnesses throughout the process, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
- Conduct interviews, home visits, and site inspections as part of investigations.
- Work closely with the police, local authorities, and other partners to take joint action where necessary.
- Take swift enforcement action, including issuing warnings, injunctions, and possession proceedings.
