Spirehouse is currently supporting a South West-based Housing Association that needs a Generic Housing Officer for a three-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Form effective relationships with customers to maximise the duration of their tenancy/license from sign-up to termination.
- Coordinate the referral process, including completing assessments and interviews with customers to assess their suitability for the accommodation and completing affordability and income expenditure checks.
- Oversee the management of voids and tenancy terminations, completing inventories and arranging to clear or store belongings.
- Process and allocate cash payments received promptly to ensure the accurate management of rent accounts.
- Serve warnings and notices as requested by the Income and Recovery Officers.
- Complete repayment plans with customers to proactively manage arrears.
- Ensure completion of all health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage and investigate reports of anti-social behaviour.
- Signposting to support services.
Contract details
- 3 Month Interim (Potential for extension/permanent work)
- £21.00 - £23.15 per hour via Umbrella
- Full-time at 37 hours per week
- Hybrid initially with scope for remote (Working from home and visiting patches)
Requirements
- Full UK driver's licence with access to a vehicle.
- Basic DBS.
- Must have experience in individual settings i.e. ASB, Tenancy, Housing Officer, Income as further training will be provided for other areas.
