Avalon is currently recruiting for an Assets Manager for a Not‐For‐Profit Organisation in Shropshire.

The Opportunity

This is a senior position within the organisation's Asset Management Team and will be responsible for the implementation of an annual single investment plan across the organisation's property portfolio, in addition to assisting the Head of Asset Management in contributing to all associated corporate objectives.

The successful candidate will:

  • Directly manage 3 contract managers and overall management of the investment team.
  • Lead efficient and effective management of the property maintenance and investment function in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of contract administration and a range of contract types (i.e. NEC, JCT etc.).
  • Assist and implement a single annual asset investment programme based on actual stock data reports from rolling stock condition surveys and decent homes annual reports, involving customers in the decision‐making process through the development of a highly customer‐focused approach.
  • Manage the Asset Enquiries and Adaptation policy and procedure through the team, notifying Customers of our decisions and maintaining records.

Requirements

  • Social Housing / Public Sector experience
  • Full UK drivers licence with access to a vehicle
  • Building Maintenance/ Construction degree, OND, HND or equivalent
  • Professional qualification (or working towards) e.g. RICS, CIOB, RIBA – or equivalent
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
  • Hold or working towards P405 Asbestos Management
  • Association for Project Safety APS
