Spirehouse are currently supporting a Housing Association in need for a Part‑Time Housing With Care Officer on a permanent basis.

The opportunity: My client is seeking a Housing With Care Officer on a permanent basis. The successful applicants will support the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable customers through individual plans, group activities, signposting to specialist agencies and supporting them through the housing pathway into appropriate accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage referrals, offers, complete tenancy sign‑ups, process terminations, void checks and undertake new tenancy visits.
  • Liaise with local authority housing and social services and other stakeholder statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure the timely allocation of properties.
  • Hold weekly customer surgeries to deal with housing related queries.
  • Carry out regular monitoring inspections at schemes including routine health and safety checks.
  • Undertake tenancy audits according to target and gathering customer data to inform the QL customer relationship management system.
  • Work with the Income Team to ensure that income collection is maintained in accordance with set targets.
  • Keep up to date with Government and local initiatives, regulations and legislative changes and guidance relevant to projects and services.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Housing Support/ Scheme Manager/ Housing Assistant role.
  • Commitment to part‑time hours.
