Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Recreation Therapist Assistant to join our team. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities and therapy programs for individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and creating engaging and therapeutic experiences for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients\’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Plan and lead recreational activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, and music therapy
- Work with clients to improve physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills
- Evaluate clients\’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
- Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
