We are looking for a reliable Driver / Scaffolder to support our operations across multiple sites. The primary responsibility for this role is driving, including transporting materials, equipment, and operatives. However, the successful candidate must also be CISRS qualified and capable of carrying out scaffolding duties when required to support the wider team. This position is suited to someone who is flexible, safety-conscious, and able to adapt to a mix of driving and hands-on site activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving Duties (Primary Role)
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport scaffold materials, tools, and personnel.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
  • Ensure all loads are safely secured and handled correctly.
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, delivery notes, and vehicle documentation.
  • Represent the company professionally when travelling to and from sites.
  • Scaffolding Duties (As Required)
    • Assist with the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding systems when instructed.
    • Support scaffolding teams with labouring duties and safe material handling.
    • Follow guidance from Lead Scaffolders and Site Supervisors.
    • Ensure all scaffolding activities comply with CISRS standards and site safety procedures.
  • Health & Safety
    • Adhere to RAMS, safe systems of work, and all site-specific rules.
    • Maintain strong awareness of safety risks, including manual handling and working at height.
    • Report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents immediately.

    Skills & Experience Required

    • Valid CISRS card (essential).
    • Full, clean UK driving licence (clean licence is mandatory).
    • Experience in a scaffolding or construction environment.
    • Strong understanding of safe lifting, manual handling, and site protocols.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
    • Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a positive work ethic.

    Desirable

    • Experience with tube & fitting or system scaffold.
    • Additional safety training such as Manual Handling, First Aid, or Working at Height.
    • Previous experience delivering materials or driving commercial vans.
