About the role

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) works with a high degree of self-sufficiency on more complex projects/large accounts. They deliver projects for assigned accounts through proactive project management. Projects should be delivered to budget, schedule, agreed specification, meeting Avalere Health KPIs whilst achieving client objectives and surpassing their expectations. The Senior Project Manager role is client facing and serves as primary project contact for clients and other support agencies, including logistics agencies, audiovisual technicians, etc. The Senior Project Manager actively drives timelines and acts as an internal information hub for the account. They should lead client project status calls and internal status meetings and regularly communicate with and update other team members whilst flagging any concerns in a timely manner. They must develop effective working relationships with Client Service and Editorial leads to meet team objectives and support the team by liaising with internal stakeholders to prioritise workload, participating in team meetings and brainstorms, providing project feedback and input into action plans as required.

What you'll Do

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects from a project management and financial perspective, ensuring successful planning, management, execution and outcome.
  • Ensure both external and internal stakeholders are kept informed and regularly updated on project progress with any concerns being flagged to appropriate department leads in a timely manner.
  • Actively drive timelines and act as an internal information hub for the account.
  • Actively manage project finances to achieve Avalere Health KPIs and proactively discuss any corrective courses of action with client and internal team.
  • Where possible identify, and generate, opportunities with existing and new accounts.

The range of tasks which a SPM may be asked to do includes but is not limited to:

  • Budget development and reconciliation.
  • Updating PM tools and running regular reports.
  • Reviewing project management processes and finding ways to resolve.
  • Timeline/schedule development and updating.
  • Providing internal and external financial information.
  • Invoicing clients; tracking and phasing projects.
  • Traffic management; updating status sheets.
  • Driving internal and client status calls.
  • Mentoring and guiding best practice.
  • Providing project feedback and input to action plans.

About You

Demonstrate a minimum of 4+ years of experience in project management within a Medical Communications agency. Experience working across both Publications & Med Affairs deliverables is highly advantageous.
