What You'll Do
- Lead strategic primary research and design qualitative and quantitative studies aligned with business objectives.
- Define research objectives within broader strategic challenges such as positioning, launch readiness, and experience optimisation.
- Select and apply appropriate methodologies (IDIs, ethnography, surveys, conjoint, segmentation, etc.) to ensure hypothesis‑driven, decision‑oriented research.
- Oversee recruitment, vendor management, and field‑work quality.
- Translate insights into clear strategic implications and recommendations.
- Identify unmet needs, behavioural drivers, and key market tensions.
- Develop outputs such as:
- Positioning frameworks
- Segmentation and targeting strategies
- Message and concept optimisation
- Strategic imperatives for brand and portfolio decisions
- Quantitative and advanced research leadership: segmentation analysis, message and concept testing, conjoint and trade‑off studies, and translation of data into commercially meaningful insights.
- Journey and experience integration: personas, behavioural archetypes, patient/providers journeys, and application of findings to experience design.
- Client leadership and consulting excellence: strategic advisory, work‑stream ownership, stakeholder workshops, mentorship of juniors, and cross‑capability collaboration with Experience Strategy, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access teams.
About You
- 7+ years of primary market research and strategic consulting experience within healthcare, pharma, biotech, or life sciences.
- Strong evidence of connecting research to strategic decision‑making.
- Proficient in segmentation, positioning, survey design, quantitative analysis and synthesising complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and the ability to manage teams, vendors, and client relationships.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting early asset strategy, launch planning, or lifecycle optimisation.
- Exposure to rare disease or specialty therapy areas.
- Familiarity with digital insight platforms or living insight repositories.
- Experience in business development and proposal creation.
