What You'll Do Avalara is looking for a Sales Executive to build new business growth across the EMEA region.
The role focuses on acquiring mid-market and enterprise customers and expanding Avalara's footprint across a tax and compliance landscape.
Responsibilities
- Drive net-new revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new enterprise and mid-market clients across the EMEA region.
- Lead strategic sales engagements with C-level stakeholders, aligning Avalara's value proposition with their operational and growth priorities.
- Position and sell Avalara's multi-product suite (e Invoicing, VAT, sales tax, cross-border compliance, and automation solutions) as an integrated compliance platform.
- Demonstrate thought leadership on Agentic AI's role in compliance.
- Develop territory and account strategies aligned with Avalara's global growth goals and local market opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, alliances, and partner teams to drive localized campaigns and nurture the ERP (particularly SAP) and technology partner ecosystem.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence Avalara's product innovation and go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of EMEA-region tax legislation and international indirect tax frameworks, particularly U. S. tax.
Qualifications
- Experience with complex, consultative B2B sales within Saa S, ERP, Fin Tech, or tax technology.
- 5+ years of experience in new business development with consistent quota attainment.
- Experience selling to the Office of the CFO, with executive presence and storytelling skills.
- Deep familiarity with ERP ecosystems and how they integrate with compliance or finance solutions.
- Solid grasp of indirect tax and compliance automation in the EMEA region; stay up to date with industry trends.
- Awareness of or curiosity about Agentic AI and its business applications.
- Fluency in English required; second European language an advantage.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker able to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
- Experience contributing to regional marketing and partner strategies is highly desirable.
