About The Role
The Community & Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in helping Avado build a vibrant, active, and engaged learner community through compelling video content, interactive events, and community‑led initiatives.
This entry‑level role is ideal for a confident, creative individual who is energized by engaging with learners, enjoys speaking on camera, and understands how to create video and social content that resonates.
You’ll bring the Avado brand to life across Avado Connect (our community platform), social channels, and regular webinars – while supporting the wider marketing team on brand awareness and lead generation goals.
Equally importantly, you will align with our organisational values, which were defined by our people for our people, clients, learners, and partners.
What you’ll do
To help us be the best, you will be accountable for
- Community Engagement & Platform Experience
- Growing engagement and interaction on Avado Connect through creative content, discussions, polls, interviews, and community‑driven features.
- Acting as a key stakeholder in the development and optimisation of Avado Connect to enhance the learner experience.
- Sharing content that encourages collaboration, questions, peer connection and active participation.
- Video & Creative Content Production
- Briefing, ideating, scripting and appearing in both long‑form and short‑form video content for social channels, campaigns and the learner community.
- Recording to‑camera content for Tik Tok, Instagram, Linked In and Avado Connect, staying ahead of digital trends.
- Creating visually appealing content using tools such as Canva, Cap Cut and AI tools (e. g., Chat GPT) to support campaign and community activity.
- Collaborating with the Content Marketing Associate to ensure video content complements written and campaign‑based activity.
- Webinars & Community Events
- Running, hosting and supporting monthly webinars and virtual events that drive learner engagement and value.
- Working with stakeholders to shape themes, identify speakers and plan engaging event formats.
- Managing end‑to‑end webinar processes, including promotion, delivery and repurposing event content for further use.
- Supporting the Marketing Manager to deliver brand awareness and lead‑generation activities.
- Working closely with the wider marketing team to ensure content is cohesive, high impact and aligned with campaign goals.
- Bringing creative ideas that help Avado stand out across social media and community platforms.
- Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Tracking and reporting on community engagement, video content performance and webinar activity (training provided).
- Applying insights and learner feedback to improve content and community activity.
- Remaining curious and up to date with video, social and community platform trends.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous internship or freelance experience in social media, community management, video content marketing is a plus.
- Confident on camera with a strong, engaging presence.
- Familiarity with social media platforms—especially Tik Tok, Instagram and Linked In—and awareness of digital trends.
- Experience or interest in creative tools such as Canva, Cap Cut or similar.
- Comfortable using AI tools for content creation and ideation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in community and event settings.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Bonus (Not Required)
- Experience hosting or supporting webinars, livestreams or online events.
- A portfolio of video‑led content (e. g., Tik Tok, Reels, short‑form edits).
- Experience managing or contributing to online communities.
- Certifications or training in creative, social or analytical tools.
- Experience or particular interest in HR or Education sectors.
