About Avado
Avado is the UK’s leading brand in professional people development. While our B2C team is thriving and long-established, we are now looking for a high-calibre B2B Sales Lead to spearhead our corporate growth. This is an independent contributor role for a high-performing hunter who wants to own the B2B space. You will be the sole individual dedicated to driving corporate partnerships, making this a unique opportunity to build a high-value pipeline from the ground up within a market-leading brand. This role is international in scope, with a specific focus on scaling our presence in the Middle East.
At Avado, we believe all transformation starts with people. As a Platinum provider of CIPD training, we empower HR and L&D professionals to build the skills, mindsets, and capabilities needed for the future of work. In a world reshaped by AI and rapid change, we’re committed to developing future-ready people professionals through high-impact, accredited learning experiences. Our programmes combine practical application, collaborative learning, and award-winning design to ensure our learners – and their organisations – can thrive and grow. Our connected learning approach blends deep expertise, innovative technology, and a strong community of support.
About the role
As the B2B Sales Lead, you are responsible for the full sales lifecycle—from hunting for the initial lead to closing six-figure corporate contracts. You will manage a global territory, requiring a self-starter mindset and the cultural intelligence to navigate complex deals, particularly in the Middle East. While the role initially focuses on our world-class CIPD qualifications, your remit will rapidly expand to include corporate workshops and our new subscription-based products. This is a "chase-led" role: while you will receive a handful of inbound leads, your success will be driven by your ability to hunt new business and “farm” our vast database of current learners and AvadoConnect members.
What you’ll do
- Strategic Prospecting: Identify and hunt new B2B opportunities globally. You will use "hustle" and creative outreach to turn cold prospects into long-term partners.
- Database Farming: Leverage Avado’s massive existing learner database and the AvadoConnect community to identify corporate decision-makers and upsell B2B solutions.
- Pipeline & Deal Management: Diligently manage a complex pipeline. You will navigate deal cycles that range from quick wins to 4-month enterprise contracts.
- International Expansion: Act as the face of Avado in international markets. This involves remote digital selling and occasional travel, specifically to the Middle East, to close key accounts.
- Consultative Pitching: Engage with HRDs and L&D Directors to understand their workforce challenges and tailor solutions across qualifications, workshops, and subscriptions.
- Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous CRM records to ensure accurate forecasting for the leadership team.
What we’re looking for
- The "Hustle" Factor: You are a seasoned salesperson who enjoys the chase. You don’t wait for leads; you create them.
- International Mindset: Experience in global sales is essential. A cultural understanding of the Middle East is a significant advantage; Arabic speaking skills would be highly regarded but are not essential.
- B2B Expertise: Proven track record in professional services, EdTech, or consultative B2B sales. You know how to navigate "long but not complex" deal cycles.
- Self-Sufficiency: As an independent contributor, you are comfortable being the sole person focused on this vertical. You take total ownership of your targets.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to move from selling a single qualification to a multi-layered corporate subscription or workshop series.
What you’ll get
- High Earning Potential: A competitive base salary (commensurate with B2B experience) plus a high-reward commission structure based on total contract value.
- Global Reach: The opportunity to work on international projects and travel to key regions like the Middle East.
- Autonomy: The freedom to own the B2B strategy and execute your own "hunting" plan.
- Flexibility: Remote working (with occasional travel to London) with the tools you need to succeed globally.
- Culture & Growth: 25 days annual leave, your birthday off, and the backing of the Blenheim Chalcot network.
And lots of benefits including:
- Holidays – 33 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day after 2 years and a further day after 4 years.
- A day off on or around your birthday.
- Statutory pension and life assurance.
- Various opportunities to gain an immersive experience into a range of Avado products and proposition.
- On-demand access to our AvadoConnect community.
- Curated personal development and learning tools – SEEDL platform.
And… just for being here, we offer you a culture that’s created and nurtured by super smart people and underpinned by our Values which guide our thinking, decisions and actions, creating a truly unique place to work. You will also get to be at the forefront of helping a very diverse range of professionals enhance their careers, whether at the early stages or later down the line. You’ll enjoy an environment with an enviable workspace to use in West London, serious personal development opportunities, and some rather nice job-related and lifestyle perks. And we’re highly inclusive… Avado is one of those rare places where anyone from anywhere with any background or experience is free to come and do their very best work. We believe in the diversity of thought, as that’s what helps us help our clients and learners – whether investing in their own development, or having their employer invest for them. Equality, diversity and inclusion are values that underpin our success; come and see for yourself!
