About ĀVĀ Movement

ĀVĀ Movement is a new boutique Reformer Pilates studio in St John’s Wood, created around exceptional teaching, thoughtful movement and a highly personal client experience. We offer contemporary Reformer Pilates through small-group classes or private sessions, helping clients build strength, improve mobility and move with greater confidence. Our approach is welcoming, considered and results-focused — with high-quality instruction at the centre of everything we do.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and engaging Reformer Pilates Instructor to join the ĀVĀ Movement team part-time freelance, on-site basis. You will deliver safe, effective and motivating Reformer Pilates classes for clients of different abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced practitioners. You will be responsible for creating well-structured sessions, maintaining excellent class flow and providing thoughtful modifications where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging small-group and private Reformer Pilates sessions
  • Plan structured, progressive and varied classes
  • Demonstrate exercises clearly and provide precise verbal and practical guidance
  • Offer appropriate modifications for different abilities, injuries and physical needs
  • Support clients in progressing safely and confidently
  • Create an inclusive, motivating and professional class environment
  • Welcome clients, answer questions and build strong client relationships
  • Maintain high standards of studio presentation, equipment care and health and safety
  • Work collaboratively with the wider ĀVĀ Movement team
  • Confidently explain studio services, memberships and class packages where appropriate

About You

  • Recognised Reformer Pilates or comprehensive Pilates certification
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, alignment and safe movement principles
  • Experience teaching Reformer Pilates to groups and individuals
  • Confident managing class flow, energy and a range of abilities
  • Clear, warm and engaging communication style
  • Excellent client service skills and a genuine interest in building relationships
  • Professional, reliable and attentive to detail
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain this before starting
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Previous experience within a premium boutique fitness or Pilates studio would be beneficial.
