AVA Energy is recruiting experienced HVDC Wiremen to join a major HVDC Converter Station Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and wiring of HVDC converter station equipment.
- Electrical installation of control, protection and marshalling panels.
- Cable installation, glanding and termination of HV, control and instrumentation cables.
- Installation of cable tray, ladder rack and containment systems.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Carrying out point-to-point wiring checks.
- Supporting pre-commissioning and testing activities.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to project quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Wireman on HVDC, HV or Substation projects.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with control and protection panel wiring.
- Approved Qualifications and Certifications.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Right to work in the UK.
