Build and grow long-term client relationships across AV installations, event production, equipment hire and service. You will own opportunities commercially from first enquiry through to conversion, supported by our technical pre‑sales team for site surveys, system design and specification. It is a varied, influential role for someone who enjoys earning trust, developing accounts and turning good opportunities into profitable work.
AV Xpert supplies, installs and services sound, lighting, video, staging and conference equipment for events, venues, schools, businesses and public bodies across Cambridgeshire and beyond. As Client Account Manager you will own our most important customer relationships, develop them actively, and make sure the work we win is the right fit for both sides.
You will handle incoming enquiries as they come, but you will also build and maintain your own pipeline. You will identify opportunities with existing customers, re‑engage accounts that have gone quiet, and shape proposals that answer what they actually need. You will follow up, negotiate and convert, then stay close as the job moves into delivery. You will own the client relationship and commercial process, supported by our technical pre‑sales team, who undertake site surveys, system design, specification and technical costing.
We are a small, close team. The technicians build and run the events and installations, the warehouse preps and checks the kit, and the office plans, sells and looks after customers. You will sit across all of that, which means good communication and a steady, organised way of working matter as much as commercial instinct.
This role reports directly to our Founder and Director, and you will work closely with the technical pre‑sales and operations teams. The role is primarily office‑based in Huntingdon, with the possibility of working from home one or two days per week following probation, subject to business and customer requirements. You will make regular customer visits as part of building and maintaining relationships.
This is a role for someone who takes ownership. You will hold your own sales targets and gross‑profit targets, keep your accounts warm, and be the point of contact clients come back to. You will have real autonomy to shape how we work with customers and grow the accounts that matter most.
