AV Matrix is a Yorkshire based audio visual company with clients nationwide. We work with business and private clients alike and have built a reputation for professional delivery to specification; whilst always maintaining a friendly ‘can do’ attitude. We service a wide variety of events including award ceremonies, conferences, corporate dinners, lectures, fashion shows and live music. The AV Matrix Video Department has been very heavily invested in in recent times and stocks high end industry standard equipment. The video element of our productions can often be the most ambitious and most complicated but also the most visually impressive. Work with AV Matrix is fast paced and rewarding.
Role and Responsibilities
- Undertake a wide range of duties as a video technician.
- Familiarise yourself with all video equipment in rental stock and support warehouse staff with preparation, routine maintenance and basic repairs.
- Support a broad range of events on site, working with video at all levels from basic projectors to large high definition video walls.
- Work with fulltime and freelance staff to setup and operate video equipment to a high standard.
- Manage a variety of video signals and formats and their distribution to projection, displays, and video wall systems.
- Become familiar with the rigging and configuration of video wall systems and be able to rig and align large format projectors and setup plasma screens of all sizes.
- Prepare content such as audio, video and PowerPoint presentations.
- Support all areas of the company’s operations as required.
Skills and Qualities
- Friendly, polite and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Good communication skills and a client focussed work ethic.
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances and demands.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint; basic video editing skills would be a bonus.
- Previous audio visual experience is highly desirable but a desire to learn is much more valuable.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
- Ability to reach our base at Thorp Arch without relying on public transport.
- Evening and weekend work will be required as will some nights working away from home.
