Job Description

The Opportunity Our clients are a leading Audio-Visual (AV) integration specialist, delivering innovative collaboration and communication solutions for clients across corporate, education, and public sectors.

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a highly skilled and certified Pre and post Sales Technical Lead to join the team, playing a critical role in the design and delivery of complex, cutting-edge AV solutions.

Role Overview As the Technical Lead, you will be the technical authority in the sales process, working closely with the sales teams to scope client requirements, design bespoke AV solutions, and lead the technical content of proposals, tenders, and presentations.

You will bridge the gap between client vision and delivery capability—ensuring solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and future-proof.

You will also be supporting our engineering teams and be the design authority for all ‘complex projects, approving Bill of Materials and Professional Services, creating and implementing project workflow from enquiry to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical engagement in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, requirements gathering, and solution scoping.
  • Design integrated AV systems, producing detailed schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and functional specifications.
  • Prepare and contribute to complex tenders, RFPs, and proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and project budgets.
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments to inform system design.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical mentorship and input to sales and delivery teams throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving AV, UC, and collaboration technologies, advising the business on product trends and innovation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to develop and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices for scalability, security, and integration.
  • Support for customer services team and onsite engineering teams

  • Your Skills and Experience Essential
  • Industry-recognised certifications in AV and collaboration technologies (e. g. CTS / CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or technical consultant role within the AV integration industry.
  • Demonstrable experience producing complex AV designs and responses to formal tenders or bid submissions.
  • Strong technical knowledge across AV control systems, video conferencing, unified communications, networking, and signal distribution.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and deliver under tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e. g. Prince2, MS Project, Monday. com).
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, AV over IP, and network-based AV deployment.
  • Experience working with AVaa S models or managed service offerings.
  • Salesforce or CRM platform experience.
  • Proficient in design software and documentation tools (e. g. Auto CAD, Visio, D-Tools, Bluebeam, etc).
