Job Description
The Opportunity\\n\\nThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Audio Visual Site Support Engineer to work for a successful company based at a leading venue and exhibitions centre in East London.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will have years of experience working hands on with complex AV systems, still be excited by the technology, and be keen to deliver outstanding customer service.\\n\\nDaily duties will include room and system checks, responding to requests for support, investigating and troubleshooting AV issues at the site and ensuring any active tickets are updated.\\n\\nThe role will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing AV systems including presentation systems, LED Videowalls and AV Control Systems and more.\\n\\nA working knowledge of audio visual equipment including display equipment, control systems and complex audio systems.\\n\\nThe ability to follow a schematic showing audio visual signals and control signals for interconnected devices is essential as is the ability to diagnose faults within the systems.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will be competent in the use of small hand tools and soldering for the purpose of making interconnects. All systems are modular so no electronic component level repair is undertaken.\\n\\nThis role will involve the occasion requirement to oversee sub-contractors of a technical nature. Ongoing technical training and access to CTS accreditation will be provided.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nFault finding rectifying AV systems at the client site\\n\\t\\nProviding remote assistance and onsite technical support for clients\\n\\t\\nCompletion of service reports and ticket management on company systems\\n\\t\\nCarrying out preventative maintenance on installed systems at the site\\n\\t\\nProviding technical assistance to Service Coordinators for handling customer enquiries as required.\\n\\t\\nReporting any escalated matters directly to line manager Liaising with other project and engineering teams to develop customer and site knowledge as necessary\\n\\nBased on site in East London salary will be circa Β£40k-Β£55k p.a.
doe plus overtime and benefits\\n\\nYour skills and experience\\n\\nExperience of installing, commissioning and servicing commercial audio-visual systems including projection, videowalls, control systems, power amplifiers, DSPs, audio / video matrix systems, digital and analogue signal transmission formats.\\n\\t\\nExperience with Crestron NVX systems\\n\\t\\nMust be able to work un-supervised, under time pressure and to deliver outcomes to budget and\\n\\t\\nrequired timeline.\\n\\t\\nSelf-driven, organised and results oriented.\\n\\t\\nA people-person who prioritises customer/user experience\\n\\t\\nAble to use access equipment and physically install hardware into client sites without technical assistance.\\n\\t\\nRelishes a challenge and stops at nothing to overcome problems they encounter\\n\\t\\nEffective communication with both technical and non-technical individuals is important.\\n\\t\\nThis is a client facing role and as such the successful candidate will be expected to represent the company in a competent, professional and friendly manner.\\n\\nProduct Knowledge\\n\\nAudio Systems (Balanced / Unbalanced)\\n\\t\\nVideo Conference CODECs\\n\\t\\nLCD DLP Projectors\\n\\t\\nVideowall systems\\n\\t\\nCrestron control systems\\n\\t\\nCrestron AV switching and matrix systems (digital analogue)\\n\\t\\nSignal extenders over catX / HD Base T formats\\n\\t\\nLighting systems / DMX control\\n\\t\\nVoIP / Dante\\n\\nQualifications\\n\\nUK Driving licence\\n\\nCTS\\n\\nHNC/D Electronic Engineering / computing, CCENT, or equivalent.\\n\\nWorking Hours:\\n\\n30 Consecutive hours per week, scheduled between 7am and 4pm Monday to Friday, with the full time working schedule to be confirmed at least one month in advance.\\n\\t\\nAn additional 10 hours allocated for out of hours support also to be scheduled and communicated one month in advance, which includes evenings or weekends depending on operational needs.\\n\\t\\nUK public holidays are excluded, unless specifically agreed in writing.\\n\\t\\nAny works outside of 40 hours per week as defined above are dealt with as overtime.
