Job Description
AV Dawson Transport are looking to expand the team in our Commercial Vehicle Services Workshop.
We are currently looking to fill a vacancy for a HGV Technician in our Middlesbrough Workshop.
Working a shift rota, 4 on 4 off (days only) to maintain company and multiple clients’ equipment.
Previous experience in maintaining HGV’s to the recognized DVSA standards.
Key responsibilities of the role include
- Carrying out routine inspections/MOT preparation in accordance with service and MOT standards and requirements.
- Diagnosing and rectification of service and driver defects using Jaltest diagnostic equipment.
- Completion of inspection sheets and job sheets on the current maintenance platform.
- Accurate booking of time and parts used to ensure accurate costings.
The Successful applicant will have
- Level 3 or equivalent in HGV service and maintenance.
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment (training will be given on specific software).
- The ability to manage your own time with minimal supervision.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety standards and procedures.
- Have the ability to work to a pre-determined work schedule to ensure the successful completion of work to the required timescale.
