  • £45,000 - £50,000 Expected Earnings
  • Week 1 Monday - Friday (6AM-2PM) | Week 2 Monday - Friday (12PM-8PM)

The Role:

Working double days, the successful candidate will carry out electrical maintenance across plastic moulding machinery and powder manufacturing equipment.

Machinery: Plastic moulding machinery, extruders, powder manufacturing machinery, mixers, conveyors, pulverisers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics, Siemens PLCs.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical maintenance on plastic moulding machinery, extruders and powder manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in a 1-in-3 on call rota, providing out of hours engineering support when required.
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on industrial electrical systems to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnose issues with Siemens PLC systems, AC/DC motors, drives and variable speed drives.
  • Maintain conveyors, material handling systems and process equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Service sensors, relays, contactors, control circuits and industrial instrumentation.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and respond to reactive maintenance.
  • Undertake general maintenance and repair work across the site as required.

Entry Requirements:

  • City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.
  • 5+ years as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Electrician in manufacturing.
  • Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, inverters and variable speed drives.
  • Knowledge of conveyors, material handling systems and process equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with sensors, relays, contactors and industrial instrumentation.
