The Role:

The successful candidate will travel to customer sites across the Midlands, working closely with clients and internal teams to assess project requirements and produce accurate cost estimates for industrial electrical installations, automation systems, and materials handling projects. This is a newly created position offering autonomy, the opportunity to shape the role, and clear long-term progression within a growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and automation environments
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans to identify project requirements
  • Provide accurate material take-offs for containment systems including traywork, trunking, conduit, and ladder rack
  • Estimate labour requirements for control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial electrical systems
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to gather pricing information and technical specifications
  • Utilise Microsoft Excel to create detailed quotations and maintain estimating databases
  • Support the sales team with technical input during client presentations and tender submissions

Entry Requirements:

  • Strong background in industrial electrical installations within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, FMCG, automation, or process environments
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans
  • Understanding of containment systems including traywork, trunking, conduit, ladder rack, and cable management
  • Experience with control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial electrical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and labour requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Full UK Driving Licence
