Auxo Engineering are looking for a multi skilled engineer with an electrical bias to join our client based in Selby, Yorkshire on a full-time basis. They are a leading sustainable packaging manufacturer with a strong presence across Europe, producing high-quality, sustainable corrugated packaging for a wide range of industries.
Working hours: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 and 22:00 - 06:00 rotating weekly.
Salary: £56,000
About the Role
You'll start with a structured training plan, spending time across all areas of the department and working closely with our maintenance team. This will help you gain a full understanding of our machinery, processes, and procedures. Once up to speed, you'll join our 3-shift rotation, working alongside our experienced Engineers to keep production running at its best.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of colleagues, following all risk assessments and procedures.
- Working closely with Cell Technicians and Cell Leaders to maximise production output and minimise downtime.
- Ensuring machines are in top mechanical and electrical condition so we can consistently produce high-quality products.
- Sourcing parts and services when required - ensuring they are cost-effective, right first time, and delivered on time.
- Maintaining a tidy, organised work area and following all health, safety, hygiene, and legal requirements.
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and completing repairs to the highest standard.
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified apprentice-trained Electrical Engineer (Level 3).
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Multi-skilled with experience in both mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
- Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- PLC and drive knowledge is an advantage.
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Previous electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
