Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking to join a manufacturing company based in Aston, Birmingham? You will have experience of working within a manufacturing environment. As a Production Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, looking at root cause analysis, pushing important problems for review and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £40K - £55K to work Monday to Friday with a flexibility of working hours (core hours being 8-4pm).
As a Production Engineer your role will involve:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes and techniques.
- Support Engineering technician.
- Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and action accordingly.
- Plan and schedule production activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Design, troubleshoot, and optimise production machinery and equipment.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday Core hours being 8-4pm (with flexibility on start and finish times, ensuring weekly hours are met).
Suitable Candidates:
- Apprentice trained (NVQ3) or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
