The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will take ownership of the company's operational functions, ensuring projects and services are delivered efficiently while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

You'll provide strategic leadership across multiple operational departments, aligning people, processes and technology to improve performance, increase scalability and drive continuous improvement across the business.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys developing high-performing teams, improving operational efficiency and working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve ambitious business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop multiple operational departments, ensuring clear objectives, accountability and high performance across all teams.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective planning, resource management and performance monitoring.
  • Oversee customer service and account management functions, ensuring consistently high service standards and strong client relationships.
  • Manage the delivery of content, creative services and customer projects, ensuring quality, efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of technical installation projects, coordinating scheduling, logistics, procurement and operational resources.
  • Support the development and management of the company's product portfolio, ensuring solutions continue to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Introduce and refine operational processes, systems and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop KPIs, operational metrics and governance processes that provide clear visibility of business performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance and the wider leadership team to align operational delivery with commercial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Play a key role within the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

About You

We're looking for an experienced operational leader who has successfully managed multiple teams within a service-led or technology-focused environment.

  • Proven experience leading operational teams in a technology, managed services, project delivery or service-based business.

  • Experience implementing and improving operational processes that deliver measurable business improvements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused decision making.
  • Experience creating KPIs, reporting structures and performance frameworks.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Digital signage, AV, technology services or managed services experience.
  • Experience overseeing hardware installations, technical deployments or logistics operations.
