Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Kettering? You will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working within a FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will involve:
- Carry out regular maintenance and inspections on production machinery to help prevent faults and keep equipment running reliably.
- Assist in the development of predictive and planned maintenance systems for all production equipment and the implementation of those systems.
- Quickly respond to machine breakdowns, identify the cause of the issue, and complete repairs or arrange specialist support where needed.
- Set up, adjust, and change over machinery to keep production running efficiently and reduce downtime.
- Inspect and calibrate equipment to ensure it operates safely and meets quality and performance standards.
- Fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines' relevant documentation.
- Work with production teams to identify ways to improve equipment performance and support more efficient processes.
Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or any multi-skilled engineering electrical. ONC / HNC in Engineering - or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge. Experience with electrical & mechanical maintenance - FMCG manufacturing. Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
